Crafting Cheese, Spreading Deliciousness!
Our client's history began as early as 1896, when a local cooperative took in the first 1,100 litres of milk from 108 local suppliers. Over time, this small business developed into a specialist company producing a variety of cheeses for the Dutch and German markets - from young to long-ripened, but always based on fresh Dutch meadow milk, coming from a happy cows!
You work in the dry warehouse in the fixed temperature of 14-15 degrees.
Responsibilities:
As a cheese cutting machine operator, your duties will involve:
- Operating and maintaining machines used to remove wax or cut cheese.
- Cutting or grating blocks or wheels of cheese into smaller pieces as required.
- Manually or mechanically removing the rind from cheese to minimize waste.
- Cutting cheese and moving boxes of cheese using a trolley.
- Cleaning and sharpening electric tools following HACCP procedures.
- Checking cheeses for mold and setting them aside for further assessment if needed.
- Weighing boxes of shavings and test cheese, inputting the data into the computer, removing 3 stickers, placing them on the box, and transferring the box.
- Unloading lorries with loose cheese and stacking cheese on pallets.
Working hours:
The company knows 3 shifts:
- From 6.00 till 14.00
- From 14.00 till 22.00
- From 22.00 till 6.00
In the first months you will be planned in the first two shifts.
What do we ask:
In order to be successful in this position you need to:
- Speak communicative English or Dutch
- Have some experience with the EPT
- Be in good physical condition: this involves working in difficult conditions
- Be flexible and willing to work shifts
- Have experience in the food industry (experience in a similar position is desirable)

- 130.00 after 36 hours per week
